History

Homestead started life as an analogue recording facility in 1979 and went digital a few years later. The founder of Homestead Digital was a consultant to several international companies involved in the development of digital processing and was a contributor to a national videographer magazine, contributing both equipment reviews and technical advice.

More recently Homestead changed its name to Homestead Digital to reflect its progression with the increasing amount of digital creative tools such as Director, Final Cut, Lightwave, logic and Cinema 4D.

Audio recording was where it all started and this is continued in the form of audio mastering and track laying when required.

Homestead won the WDA award for innovation in 2002 having developed a method of scene description for the blind.
